Dear Academic Leaders,

To support your efforts in identifying faculty for university-wide award nominations as well as national or international awards, the Office of the Provost, in partnership with Academic Analytics, is offering a training session: “Recognizing Excellence: How to Identify and Nominate Faculty for Awards.” Participants will learn how Academic Analytics tools can help identify awards and eligible faculty nominees, as well as provide additional information to strengthen nominations. For your convenience, this session will be offered on two dates in two different modalities: virtual and in person.

Session Details:

  • Virtual session: Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 1-2:30 p.m.
  • In-person session: Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 1-2:30 p.m.

    REGISTER FOR A SESSION

We hope that this training session helps you make the most of our institutional subscription with Academic Analytics, a valuable tool for supporting faculty award nominations both internally and externally. As a friendly reminder, we sent a message last week about this year’s call for University Honors and Awards, which are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, through Arizona Cultivate.

We encourage you or your team to attend a session to discover new ways to recognize deserving faculty. Nominating outstanding faculty for awards and recognition is a meaningful way to invest in faculty retention, which helps elevate student success and the university.

Warm regards,

Patricia A. Prelock
Provost and Chief Academic Officer

Andrea J. Romero
Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs
